Gecina honored at the 2026 BBCA awards
Gecina is a winner of the 2026 BBCA Awards, presented by the BBCA Association and awarded during SIBCA, the Low-Carbon Real Estate Exhibition. The Group won the BBCA Grand Prize for Renovated Residential projects for its Paris Dareau project and secured four podium finishes in the Low-Carbon Developers Rankings, including three first-place finishes.
Paris Dareau Wins the BBCA Grand Prize for Low-Carbon Real Estate
Gecina is the winner of the BBCA Grand Prize for Renovated Residential Projects for its Paris Dareau project, located in Paris’s 14th arrondissement. This former office building has been transformed into a 92-unit residential building, delivered in September 2024.
Designed with the Viguier architecture firm, this exemplary conversion of an office building into housing stands out for the retention of 80% of the existing floors and façades, complemented by extensions and a rooftop addition built with a wood structure. This approach is paired with an ambitious circular-economy and materials-reuse strategy, including the reclamation of materials such as stone, radiators, aggregate flooring slabs, and glass pavers.
This project demonstrates the Group's ability to transform its existing buildings, giving them a new lease on life, bringing them up to the highest environmental standards, and adapting them to new uses.
The Paris Dareau residence holds the following certifications and labels: NF Habitat HQE Excellent level, BBCA Excellence, BBC Effinergie Renovation, and BiodiverCity.

Beyond Paris Dareau, the 2026 BBCA Rankings for Project Owners highlight the momentum Gecina has generated across its portfolio.
Gecina ranks No. 1 in France for the amount of space committed to renovation, both in terms of cumulative production since 2016 and over the past twelve months as of July 15, 2026. Gecina also holds the top spot in the ranking of office space—both new construction and renovation—committed over the past twelve months.
Finally, across all building types, Gecina ranks as the second-largest French developer in terms of low-carbon development area committed to over the past twelve months.
